1- السطح أو المستوى المائل آلة تسهل نقل الأجسام الثقيلة ضد الجاذبية الأرضية حيث نبذل قوة صغيرة للتغلب على مقاومة كبيرة ..

2- صعود الجبل مثلاً أسهل عندما نسلك طريقاً مائلاً للوصول الى القمة...

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. 
   Understand that an inclined plane supports an object by pushing up on it.
2. Discover that inclined planes help make lifting an object easier by combining their supportive force with the lifting force applied by whoever is pushing the object.
3.  Relate the length of the plane to the reduction in required force
4. Be aware of disadvantages of inclined planes.
5. Discover that friction causes work (energy) to be wasted when sliding objects.
